Clayton Kershaw Poem

2014 was when Kershaw dominated the league,

Striking out batters 1-2-3.

He struck out 239 batters,

Sending their dreams to shatters.

He went 21-3 with an ERA of 1.77,

The Dodgers’ ace was in Heaven.

He won the Cy Young for the 3rd time,

And he won the MVP showing that he can shine.

Kershaw’s curve is all the rage,

Showing batters that they are not on the same page.

When Kershaw is done,

You may want to run,

The dominance is true,

He WILL fool you.

Mike Trout Poem

Whenever Mike Trout comes to bat,

You are sure to get

A good, hard swat.

The MVP of the All-Star game,

Every year he performs the same,

With a great hit and a perfect play,

He does this every day.

In 2012 he was the Rookie of the Year,

After stealing 49 bases,

And making catches on his rear.

When he won the MVP in 2014,

He showed how his swing can be really mean,

With 36 home runs,

He wasn’t done.

He led the league 111 RBIs,

And scored 115 runs.

Mike gives all his effort and always tries his best,

That is why he isn’t like the rest.

Greg Bird Poem

Bird is the

Word,

As he steps up to the plate,

He makes pitchers cry,

For goodness sake.

Bird can really rock,

Especially when he walks.

He drives in RBIs and can hit a home run,

And he is not done.

His defense is a charm,

Robbing hits

And giving grit,

And showing off his arm.

And in the end,

He likes to send,

The New York fans home with a grin,

To celebrate a Yankees win.

2014 World Series Poem

‘Twas the day after the crucial World Series Game 7,

Torture for some,

For many Heaven.

Travis Ishikawa hit a walk-off home run in the NLCS to advance them to the stage,

While the Kansas City Royals came with their base stealing rage,

.366 is what the ‘’Panda’’ hit,

While Madison Bumgarner gave the hitters grit.

Eric Hosmer batted .351,

But don’t forget,

The Royals that run.

The Giants responded by flashing the leather,

And gave them terrible weather

Joe Panik turned a great double play,

And at the end of the day,

The Giants got the spot,

That no one can top.
